Join us on an unforgettable adventure to the Tala Private Game Reserve, located just over one hour away from Durban. With pickup from your hotel, we'll journey into the heart of the African wilderness and explore the reserve's stunning landscape and wildlife. The tour will last approximately 10 hours, with return to Durban in the late evening. Please note that the tour is subject to cancellation in the event of serious weather conditions
Included in the tour are the following:

Entrance fees to the Tala Private Game Reserve

Transportation in an air-conditioned and enclosed 4x4 vehicle.

Services of a knowledgeable and qualified field/tour guide

Complimentary refreshments, such as tea, coffee, rusks, and bottled water, throughout the day

Access to several shops along the route and within the reserve to purchase snacks and souvenirs.
We will depart from Durban at 8 am and arrive at Tala Private Game Reserve at around 9 am. After a short drive, we will take a break and have a picnic while enjoying tea and coffee. We will continue our journey on dirt tracks and reach an exclusive lodge with a picturesque view for lunch (at your own expense) around 1 pm. The tour will continue in the afternoon, where we will search for animals during the cooler part of the day when they are more active. We will leave the reserve at 5 pm and return to Durban at approximately 6 pm. We will have multiple bathroom breaks available for guests during the day to ensure maximum comfort.
We recommend bringing sunscreen, binoculars, and a camera to capture the stunning wildlife and scenery. It is essential to bring closed, comfortable walking shoes, a jacket or jumper, and a hat to protect you from the sun. We advise bringing cash for lunch, waiters tips and snacks as credit card facilities may be limited. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor activities.
Get ready for an unforgettable wildlife experience! During the tour, we'll be on the lookout for a variety of animals, including rhino, kudu, wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, eland, ostrich, zebra, blesbok, and impala. With over 20 species of antelope, including some rare varieties such as oribi, bushbuck and reed buck, the reserve offers a fantastic opportunity for animal lovers. You can also explore the reserve on foot in designated areas to gain a different perspective of the wildlife and ecology. In addition, the reserve is home to over 370 bird species, making it a perfect destination for birdwatchers. Please note that while the tour is not physically strenuous, you will be spending a significant amount of time in a vehicle.
We proudly use our Land Rover Defender 110 Puma (George), which seats up to 6 guests. For the best comfort, especially for taller or larger guests, we recommend that if their are guests in your group with specific space needs...WE MUST LIMIT THE NUMBER OF GUESTS ACCORDINGLY. The rear seats are able to comfortably accommodate the smallest guests under 1.75m.
